An EV or Electric Vehicle Charger is a box which sits on the outside of your home and is a charging device for your electric or hybrid electric vehicle.
In homes with a battery, when your battery is empty or running low, you connect your vehicle to the EV Charger using the cable and plug, for it to be topped up. The time of day that your vehicle is charged can impact the cost and carbon impact of the energy used to recharge the battery, so it is often best to charge your electric vehicle overnight.
