A retrofit assessment is an inspection and evaluation of a home to understand how it uses energy and what improvements could be made to make it warmer, more energy efficient and safer.
It looks at the building’s construction, insulation, heating, ventilation and any existing issues (such as damp), and is used to inform tailored retrofit recommendations, in line with standards like PAS 2035.
A Home Survey or “Retrofit Assessment” is a full health check of your home - it is required before any home upgrades are completed and helps identify what (if any) home upgrades are needed. It also captures key information about your home such as dimensions and the materials used in its construction.
